The Great NYS Fair

Date: Thursday, August 21, 2014 - Monday, September 01, 2014
Time: 8 A.M.-10 P.M.
Location: The New York State Fairgrounds
Cost: $10 general admission

Come out and enjoy everything that New York has to offer at this 12 day long fair!  We will be located at the Taste NY Wine, Beer & Spirits Village at the Colonnades. We will be pouring samples of wine and selling by the bottle and glass. Also featuring our Fox Trot Red Sangria!

The Pittsford Village Farmers Market

Celebrate and support sustainably produced local products along the beautiful Erie Canal in the heart of Pittsford.

Riesling Release Dinner

Date: Saturday, September 13, 2014
Time: 6:00 pm
Location: Fox Run Vineyards
Cost: $85 pp (plus tax and tip)

You are invited to attend our Riesling Dinner on Saturday, September 13th at 6 pm. Locally renowned Chef Brud Holland will be creating a 5-course dinner paired with Fox Run's Riesling wines. We will also be featuring our 2013 Silvan Riesling, which will be released for the first time during the dinner.

Silvan Riesling is a barrel fermented dry-style Riesling never before done at Fox Run. Barrel fermentation, not a customary practice with Riesling, adds subtle flavor notes to this intriguing dry wine.

The dinner is $85 (plus tax and tip) per person. Fox Run Wine Club members will receive a discount of 10% off the dinner price.
 
Seating is only available for 30 guests to enjoy this intimate evening. Reservations can be made by calling us at 800-636-9786 or emailing Marisa at marisa@foxrunvineyards.com.

Menu:
Course 1: Braised Chicken & Goat Cheese Terrine, Fox Run Garden Radicchio

  • slow cooked, pressed chicken breast and lively run chèvre, a salad of radicchio with just a whisper of Cayuga blue cheese dressing  
Wine Pairing: 2013 Silvan Riesling (New Release)

Course 2: Pork on Pork, peach Riesling glaze
  • seared and oven-roasted pork loin stuffed with salt and herb cured pork tenderloin, finished  with an "edgy" peach glaze
Wine Pairing: 2013 Dry Riesling

Course 3: Smoked sausage turnover, red onion bacon jam
  • flaky butter crust filled with hickory smoked sausage and roasted garlic, served with a sweet onion & bacon jam 
Wine Pairing: 2011 Reserve Riesling

Course 4: Duck and Riesling two ways
  • thyme crusted, seared duck breast paired against a rich, spreadable duck rillette
Wine Pairing: 2012 Semi-Dry Riesling and 2011 Riesling 11, Hanging Delta Vineyard

Course 5: Riesling "Baba" with fresh fruit
  • a golden brown, yeast leavened cake soaked in Riesling syrup and finished with fresh fruit and a morsel of Preliminaires Chocolate
Wine Pairing: 2011 Riesling 12, Hanging Delta Vineyard (Unreleased Exclusive)

** The menu has been created by Chef Brud Holland. He is the owner of Finger Lakes Made, creating foods and packaged products made from ingredients grown in the Finger Lakes Region. He also serves on the Board of Directors for Finger Lakes Culinary Bounty. 

Cancellations required 24 hours in advance; cancellations within 24 hours of event will be charged a 50% deposit, and no call/ no show reservations will be charged the full amount.


The Festival of Food

Cost: $50 advance/$60 at the door

This event is located at one of the oldest markets in New York, the Rochester Public Market. Enjoy tastings from over 100 restaurants, wineries, and breweries! All are locally owned and operated establishments. 100% of the proceeds benefit Foodlink, the regional food bank!

Let Us Eat Local

Location: Seneca Lake Wine Trail Participating Wineries
Cost: $53 pp or $75 per couple

2014 is the Seneca Lake Wine Trail's 23rd annual Deck the Halls Weekend! Go to your assigned starting winery and begin a weekend of fun and festivities while sampling holiday wines and food tastings. The wineries are decorated for the holiday season. Over the 2-1/2 day weekend event, visit the participating wineries and enjoy a weekend of fun and relaxation.

EACH TICKET includes a grapevine wreath and recipe book, to be picked up at your starting winery, then enjoy decorating your Christmas wreath with a unique ornament from each winery you visit (couple's ticket share).

EACH PERSON receives a food and wine pairing at each participating winery. With the recipe book you will be able repeat the delectable wine/food combinations at home, introducing your friends and family to the pairings you most enjoyed!

Fox Run participates in a variety of community events during the year.


We receive frequent requests for event participation to support very worthy charities. While we would like to take part in every event throughout New York to showcase our delicious wines, our resources are limited. Please download the request form and return it to us using the instructions listed on the form. The staff will review your submitted application and notify you of our participation. Jessica Slater handles our event requests and will follow up with you regarding your submission.
