Tricia Renshaw - Assistant Winemaker
Assistant Winemaker Tricia Renshaw’s entrée into the wine world started with a classic epiphanic moment. After taking time out to start a family, she was considering a career in teaching or banking before finding herself standing in a Finger Lakes vineyard on a warm spring day. “I was overcome with the conviction that what I really needed to be doing was working in the wine industry”, she recalls.
A casual job working on the bottling line at Fox Run, in the summer of 2005, also afforded her the opportunity to engage in some serious wine tasting as well as learn essential lab skills. Her quick mind and unusually strong sensory skills soon led to a permanent position in the winery. Tricia is also completing formal studies in wine science and viticulture via the University of California’s Distance Learning program while continuing in her role as mother of two girls.
